Write for us

We welcome clear, original pitches about the work of making music together: rehearsal choices, ensemble coordination, score reading and performance preparation. Send proposals through the Contact page.

What makes a strong pitch

Name the specific question, who would find it useful and the practical point the piece will leave them with. A strong proposal has a distinct angle, explains any relevant experience without leaning on credentials alone, and shows how the subject can be treated accurately. We prefer focused pieces to broad surveys.

What to send

Use the Contact page to send a short summary, a working title and a few lines about your approach. Mention any sources, permissions or interests that may matter. Please do not send confidential material or a complete manuscript unless requested. A pitch is a proposal, not a promise of publication.

Our approach

Good playing starts with good attention

Ensemble music depends on small acts of coordination. We look at choices players can try, hear and discuss at the next rehearsal.
